How do you make your pottery pieces?

I hand build all my ceramic pieces :) Throwing and hand building are both methods by which you create items out of clay.

Throwing on a wheel allows you to create pottery pieces very quickly, it’s much easier to replicate an item (especially for mass production) and you can create cylindrical forms without the use of a mould; everything you make by using a wheel will be rounded, although you can alter the shape after throwing.

Hand building consists of several methods, such as slabbing, free form, press moulding, pinching and coiling. Through hand building you can create any shape you like, but it takes more time to complete a piece. However, it is also done with much care, attention and patience.

 

How do you package your pottery pieces for shipping?

All my pottery pieces are packed with the outmost care before shipping. Bubble wrap is used to protect the product, which is then placed in a box filled with crinkle cut shredded paper. Fragile tape is applied to the box, so don’t worry: your ceramic is well protected and safe and will be at you in one piece, promise! :)

 

I would like to return a product, what shall I do?

To return your product, send us an email at sales@elisaceramics.com and we will send you instructions on how to send the product back to us. You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary. 
If you are shipping an item over £50, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

 

I received my package, but the pottery piece is damaged, what can you do?

Work is packed with the utmost of care; however, ceramics are very fragile and in certain situations your product may get damaged while travelling to you. Please inspect your package upon arrival. In the unexpected event of breakage or damage, report to sales@elisaceramics.com with a photo at the time of delivery and we will be happy to send a replacement or to issue a refund.

 

What is your return/refund policy?

We have a 7-day return policy. If 7 days have passed by since your purchase, unfortunately we cannot offer you a refund or exchange. 

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. Ceramics are very delicate and hurt-sensitive, we ask when returning to carefully package your product. Custom orders are non-refundable unless damaged due to shipping.

Once your returned product is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received it. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. 
If your refund is approved, we will issue the refund which will be credited to the card you have used for the original payment. Please note that it may take up to 5 working days for the refund to appear in your bank account; this may differ depending on your bank.

 

I have returned a pottery piece, but still haven’t received a refund. What shall I do?

If you are looking for a unique flower vase, planter or special piece of home design, together we can make it happen! 

I hand build made to order ceramics in all shapes and design, to fill your needs and creativity. We will work on a brief together, decide the right shape and colours and I will bring your idea to life for you.

Please allow 4-5 weeks for final delivery and note that prices start from £80.
